This state was originally part of the great Sikh empire built by Maharaja Ranjeet Singh. After the Anglo-Sikh wars Kashmir was sold to the dogra traitor Gulab Singh for a sum of 85 lakh rupees.

The family has failed to produce any charachters of note and its history is full of traitors.

On the formation of the Indian union the ruler of Kashmir chose to remain independent. Later his state was invaded by Pakistan and he called upon India to save him and he signed a assencion treaty paving the way for Kashmir to be intergrated into modern India.
